Lamri would like to invite you to the free Lamri Getting Started with CMMI-DEV seminar to be held on the 29th September, at the Geological Society, Burlington House, in London. This seminar has been designed to provide an insight into the CMMI, its application and the business drivers for its increased use. The seminar consists of 3 presentations: What’s driving CMMI? What is CMMI-DEV?
Much of the published materials and presentations approach CMMI from a specific, often technical view point. In contrast, this presentation will review some the business drivers for CMMI, its application and benefits.
This presentation provides a high level non-technical overview of the CMMI focussing on its pedigree, what it is, how it is used and its role within process improvement. The presentation will briefly describe the CMMI structure and tease out some of the key model elements. It will also provide an overview of CMMI Appraisals and discuss their role within a process improvement initiative.
Starting with CMMI-DEV
For an organisation with little or no experience of CMMI, understanding where to start can be a daunting task. Neil Grover (an SEI authorised Lead Appraiser) will share his experiences of how to get off to a good start. as well as some of the pitfalls that organisations fall into.
